Steel Toe Studios was established in 2003 in the salty neighborhood of Georgetown in Seattle, WA. Combining traditional blacksmithing techniques with renegade materials and ideas, designer Erica Gordon focuses on making modern, functional belts & accessories primarily from recycled and repurposed steel.

Each piece is hand forged, fabricated and finished by hand, with a protective wax coating. The leather straps are made in house with intention and traditional hand dying and finishing is employed on each piece. The small selection of pieces they have cast are made by a boutique caster here in the US, and are noted in the descriptions.

They strive to contribute modern, handmade, unique accessories, and to do it in a way that is conscientious and sustainable.
