Los Poblanos planted its first lavender in 1999 on land that was the headquarters for the historic Los Poblanos Ranch. The thousands of “Grosso” lavender plants grown on-site are the basis for the beauty/apothecary line we carry at Izzy Martin. Farmers at Los Poblanos are focussing on creating a Grosso land-race specific to the unique Albuquerque/North Valley climate and soils.
